Things to do in Torres del Paine
Three granite towers, the Cuernos, Grey Glacier and turquoise lakes make this national park the most famous picture of Patagonia. A UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, it is home to the legendary W and O treks, among the most spectacular hikes on the planet, and to wild pumas, guanacos and condors.

How to get to Torres del Paine
Fly to Punta Arenas (daily flights from Santiago) or, in season, straight to Puerto Natales.
- Punta Arenas to Puerto Natales is about 3 hours by bus on Route 9.
- Puerto Natales to the park is about 2 hours (112 km): daily buses in season to the Laguna Amarga gate and the Pudeto catamaran.
- Buy the entrance ticket online in advance (Pases Parques, CONAF).
- To hike the W or the O, book campsites and refuges well ahead: in high season (November to March) they sell out.
