Things to do in Puelo Valley
The Puelo river valley is Patagonia in its purest form: turquoise water, Lake Tagua Tagua, alerce forests and settlers who still travel on horseback. Fly fishing, horse treks, kayaking and trails to Llanada Grande and Segundo Corral, far from the crowds.

How to get to Puelo Valley
From Puerto Montt it is about 3 hours on Route V-69 (Ensenada, Ralún and Cochamó) to the village of Puelo; daily buses leave from the Puerto Montt terminal.
- To go further up the valley, a barge crosses Lake Tagua Tagua and the road continues to Llanada Grande.
- Beyond, trails and the Río Puelo pass lead into Argentina: on foot or on horseback only.
