Ride three hours into the Andes foothills just 30 to 40 minutes from your Santiago hotel. Our base is in Lo Barnechea, at the foot of the mountains, so you spend your time riding, not in traffic.
Calm Chilean horses are matched to your height and weight, and no riding experience is needed. You climb through native forest to a high plateau facing glacier-capped peaks, where we stop for a picnic of local cheeses, chocolate and fresh juice. Andean condors often soar overhead.
This is always a private experience with a bilingual guide and a local arriero (Chilean horseman). Choose the option with wine to finish at the ranch with Chilean wine, cheese and charcuterie. Riders up to 110 kg (242 lbs) are welcome.
