Full Day Tour “The Arrival of Hotu Matu’a” with lunch

The tour begins at Ahu Akahanga, an archaeological site with platform remains where, according to oral tradition, the first king of the island is believed to be buried after leaving his settlement in Anakena. Next, we’ll visit Rano Raraku volcano, where most of the moai were carved. This site is also known as the quarry or the “factory of the moai.” You’ll see nearly 400 statues at different stages of carving, with varied features and states of preservation. From there, we continue to Ahu Tongariki, the largest platform on the island and the one with the greatest number of restored moai.

After visiting these sites, we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch at Mahinatur’s family property.

To begin the second part of the tour, we’ll head to Te Pito Kura, a stone with magnetic properties said to have been brought by the first king, also known as “the navel of the world,” where you’ll see the Paro moai, the largest statue ever transported from the quarry.

Finally, but no less important, you’ll visit one of the most significant sites in Rapa Nui culture, Hanga Rau or Te Ariki, home to Ahu Nau-Nau, located in front of the beautiful Anakena Beach. You may bring a swimsuit, as you’ll have around 30 minutes to enjoy the sea in this paradisiacal bay of fine white sand, crystal-clear waters, and pleasant temperatures.

Half Day AM Tour “The Legend of the Birdman”

Visit Orongo, Rano Kau, and Vinapu. This half-day tour takes you through archaeological sites where you’ll marvel at the ceremonial village dedicated to Make-Make and the Tangata Manu, as well as the impressive Rano Kau crater—the largest and deepest on the island—and a platform (ahu) with some of the finest stonework, where you can also see remains of moai and pukao.

A guided visit through some of the most important ceremonial centers of Easter Island. The route includes rock paintings and high cultural-value archaeological sites, an ascent to Rano Kau volcano, and an interpretive trail through the ancestral village of Orongo.

Half Day PM Tour “Stargazing”

Visit the archaeological sites of Ahu Akivi, Ana Te Pahu, and Puna Pau on this half-day tour. Discover the platform with seven moai that, according to oral tradition, was created in honor of the first explorers of Rapa Nui.
