About the event
Pedro Embrujo presents his new show ZARZUELA & FLAMENCO, A Legacy in Latin America, inspired by Faustino García, the “Don Quixote de la Zarzuela”, who from a very young age took Zarzuela to Latin America, sowing in the public an iron love for this genre. The Work collects the legacy of Faustino García and his anthologies, but is also inspired by his own life story and quixotic adventures taking Zarzuela to unknown lands. A story so unknown in Spain and so admired in Latin America. All this, told through well-known songs by 13 Zarzuelas, brought to the beat of flamenco and other musical styles, incorporating Latin American rhythms and dances. ZARZUELA & FLAMENCO, A Legacy in Latin America is a commitment to keeping Zarzuela alive and presenting it under the eyes of a person who knew it far from Spain and who fell in love with this land through its music and art.
