TRANCE, CUERPO Y ANCESTRALIDAD EN AUDITORIUM DON BOSCO
sábado, 17 de octubre · 07:30 p. m. hrs
Auditorium Don Bosco, Santiago Centro
About the event
Migratory transit is not only geographical, social and emotional, but also spiritual. Trance is an Afro-contemporary dance piece that expresses the emotional and spiritual processes that migration brings and how the process of “making home” begins in another territory with another culture. The Haitian voodoo tradition is a central inspiration, with its cosmogony where nature, living beings, gods and ancestors are connected and the people who belong to it seek spiritual enlightenment in their lives. The choreographies of Trance are born from the reflections of Haitian director Evens Clercema and some of the members of the company on their migratory process, and are divided into three movements, each created based on traditional rhythms of Haitian culture:
First movement: DISORIENTATION — INTERPELLATION
Second movement: HERE I AM
Third movement: LIBERATION
