There is only service from a tourist dealer at the Maricunga refuge, in the Santa Rosa Lagoon sector. The Nevado Tres Cruces National Park, located in the communes of Copiapó and Tierra Amarilla, covers 50,081 hectares and is divided into two sectors, the Santa Rosa Lagoon to the north and the Negro Francisco Lagoon to the south, with altitudes ranging from 3800 to 5440 meters above sea level at its highest point. Its landscapes, dominated by Andean salt flats and sparse vegetation concentrated in meadows and wetlands, are home to three species of flamingos: the Chilean, the Andean and James flamingos, along with other birds such as the piquén and the juarjual duck. Among the mammals that inhabit the park's ravines, vicunas, guanacos, culpean foxes and vizcachas stand out. Remember to carry your Pass in paper form or on your mobile device to present it at the entrance along with your identity card
