Sector Exploradores is closed due to weather conditions from May 1 to July 31, 2026.

It is no longer possible to visit the Exploradores glacier, due to the high risk to the safety of its visitors, as a result of the instability of the glacier.

The glaciers and snowdrifts coming from the Northern Ice Fields create the huge blocks of ice that break off and fall into the San Rafael Lagoon, which is an impressive and breathtaking spectacle. The native forests and the unique lichens of this place also amaze. Located between the Exploradores and Baker rivers, Lake General Carrera and the Gulf of Penas, it is also surprising for the contrast of its scenery: while some landscapes are dominated by ice, others are dominated by vegetation. Remember to carry your Pass in paper form or on your mobile device to present it at the entrance along with your identity card
