About the event

Rodrigo Quian Quiroga, Argentinian neuroscientist

Interview: Paula Escobar

Faced with the vertiginous advances in artificial intelligence, an uncomfortable question arises: are we still more intelligent than machines? To try to answer it, it is necessary to understand one of the faculties that seem to define us as a species: memory. What constitutes a memory, where is it born and how does it become part of our identity? Do you remember animals and androids like human beings? Rodrigo Quian Quiroga, the neuroscientist who discovered “concept neurons” —popularly known as the “Jennifer Aniston neurons” —will address these questions in an interview with Paula Escobar. Together they will investigate the origin and functioning of memory, what science has managed to decipher and the big questions that still remain open.
