Juantxo Skalari And La Rude Band meets The Skatalites en Teatro Coliseo

JUANTXO SKALARI & THE SKATALITES CONFIRM SHOW IN CHILE: STRICTLY FOR YOU Two of the world's most beloved ska artists will meet on October 22 at the Teatro Coliseo. The Basque artist Juantxo Skalari & La Rude Band confirmed an unprecedented presentation with the legendary Jamaican ska collective The Skatalites, where both artists will explore an extensive catalog of classics. Juantxo Skalari has just performed in Santiago with the Rude Band and historic members of his iconic group Skalariak at the celebration concert “Skalari30ak”, which sold out seats last year. The Skatalites, meanwhile, had a successful performance at the Yein Fonda with Los Tres as part of a bond that they have been strengthening with Álvaro Henríquez after the recording of the cover A Violent Love. The special connection between the two artists makes this show a must see. The Skatalites as creators of a genre that crossed borders since the beginning of the 60s in Jamaica and that is still in force today, while Juantxo Skalari, since his inception as the leader of Skalariak, has confirmed that he is a fan of the important Caribbean group. An influence that brings them together on stage today.
