JUAN FALÚ EN CHILE - SALA ISIDORA ZEGERS

The outstanding Argentine guitarist and composer Juan Falú will perform in Chile after ten years in an intense week that starts on Tuesday, October 27 at the Isidora Zegers Hall of the University of Chile. Falú, considered a fundamental reference of the music of his country, will offer a tour of his sixty years of artistic career, where his songs and instrumental creations for guitar stand out, inspired by the folkloric roots of his land to project it to new horizons. In the celebration of his 60 years of career, he has made several presentations for his country and has highlighted the publication of two books: "Tucumano soy", by the Publishing House of the National University of Tucumán and "Like other Juanes", by the Villa María University Press. In both institutions he has promoted, respectively, the creation of the Bachelor's Degree in Argentine Music and the career of Folklore and Tango. He has also given concerts in prestigious halls in more than thirty countries in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Africa, for more than 30 uninterrupted years. He also directs the Guitars of the World festival, considered the largest international meeting of its kind in Argentina. He has obtained numerous awards in his country such as the National Music Award 2000, the Clarín Award for best Argentine folk music artist in 2001 and 2007, the Gardel Award in 2007; Outstanding Personality of Culture by the Legislature of Buenos Aires and Doctor Honoris Causa by the National University of San Martín, among others.
