JUAN DOMINGO PÉREZ: LANZAMIENTO DISCO: AL TRINO DEL GUITARRÓN EN SALÓN MUNICIPAL DE PIRQUE

Juan Domingo Pérez — Disco release: Al Trino del Guitarrón

We invite you to share an evening of music, memory and conversation with Juan Domingo Pérez Ibarra, Living Human Treasure, singer, poet and guitarist, renowned for his deep faith and commitment to the peasant tradition. The release of his album “Al Trino del Guitarrón” will take place next Friday, October 16 at the Municipal Hall of Pirque. This first record brings together the music and testimony of Juan Domingo Pérez, bringing us closer to peasant singing and the tradition of the Chilean guitar through his voice, his verses and his memories. It is an invitation to listen to and learn about a living heritage, transmitted from generation to generation, that forms part of Pirque's peasant identity and memory. In the spirit of the album, the meeting will combine live music and a discussion led by the prominent journalist Marisol García. Between verses and stories, we can learn more about don Juan's career, his relationship with the guitar and his memories of Pirque from his childhood and youth, his former teachers and the encounters that marked his life. The day will also feature guest musicians who will join this celebration. With the support of the Municipality of Pirque, we will come together to celebrate a tradition that continues to find new voices and new ears. Thus, in the voice of the one who sings, the past takes its place in the present. We are waiting for you to listen, talk and celebrate the guitar trill!
