FESTIVAL RARA PUCÓN - OBRA INERTIA, FUNCIÓN INAUGURAL EN GIMNASIO MUNICIPAL DE PUCÓN - 4 DE NOVIEMBRE

INERTIA

INERTIA is an immersive contemporary dance performance, with an approximate duration of 45 minutes, created by the Colectivo Viceversos de Pucón. The work links dance with the movements of the earth and its processes of geological transformation. Through the body, music and technology, the work raises awareness of human and geological dynamics, revealing how the landscape, although it seems immutable, is constantly changing. The piece invites us to rethink our coexistence on a planet in ecological crisis, proposing new forms of post-human cohabitation and opening up the question of a body that is, at the same time, nature and technology. Directed and choreographed by Amaranta Palma and Stephanie Langdon, INERTIA premiered in November 2024 with a cast of ten performers. In its original version, the creative team consisted of Nicolás Amaro in the original musical composition, Vicente Palma in the musical editing and post-production, and Joel Chávez in the visual design.

Colectivo Viceversos
