Epistolario para una Futurologia Travesti

Between October 24 and November 1, the Teatro del Puente will present Epistolario para una Futurología Travesti, by the company Fluides, escena performativa. The work, directed by Blanca Coloma and Silvan Troncoso, is moved to the year 2073. Blanca and Silvan, two non-binary trans friends, resume their communication through the postal system that, in a future collapsed by technological abuses, has become the only form of intercontinental connection. Through the reading of these letters, viewers will encounter the intimacies and reflections of the characters. In this regard, Blanca and Silvan point out that the work is "an invitation to enter into the temporality proposed by the epistolary dialogues, betting on a proposal contrary to vertigo and the speed of immediacy, allowing the audience to stop at the words of this friendship that cross adverse contexts with the desire to connect between nostalgia and the appreciation of the present".

The creative process began in January 2025, with the writing of 16 letters that structure the staging in space. The staging of the epistolary resulting from this first stage took place intermittently during 2025 and 2026. In this process, the company explored the ways in which a scenic dialogue is unfolded marked by the difficulty of communicating and the spatio-temporal distance proposed by letters as a communication technology.

"We seek to make our desires possible by allowing us to imagine our old age in advance and providing imaginations of vital fulfillment and political and cultural resistance to all trans and/or non-binary people who have the opportunity to see this work," Blanca and Silvan mention. About the premiere at Teatro del Puente, Blanca and Silvan highlight the relationship between the play and the space. "On the one hand, the geolocation of the theater is especially relevant to us since the play refers to places and events that occurred near the theater, so images of the outside of the theater are projected during the play, turning the theater into a narrative piece of the play. On the other hand, it was a desire of the company to be able to perform the work in a theater like the bridge that is constantly betting on critical theater," they say.

In the year 2073, Blanca and Silvan, two non-binary trans friends, resume their communication through a precarious postal system. This has become the only form of intercontinental connection in a future collapsed by technological abuses. Through the reading of these letters, they introduce the spectators to their intimacies and reflections about living in an environment fragmented and violated by global fascism. During this stage experience, the spectators will be part of the staging of a transit space generated by postal deliveries between senders. With this, a hybrid texture is revealed that combines objects from the past, the present and the possible future, elements that disorder time and allow us to see the performative potential of the cards.

At Teatro del Puente, our commitment is to provide an accessible and quality cultural experience. Below are our current policies for purchasing and modifying tickets:

1. Modifications and Date Changes

We understand that unforeseen events happen. For this reason, we allow the change of date of your tickets under the following mandatory conditions:

• Notice period: You must request the change at least 72 hours in advance of the original performance.
• Availability: The change is strictly subject to the availability of seats/tickets for the new date requested.
• Procedure: To manage the change, write to the email consultas@ticketplus.cl indicating your name, purchase number and the new date selected.

2. Cancellations and Money Refunds

• Right of Withdrawal: In accordance with current legislation (Law No. 19,496 on the Protection of Consumer Rights), purchases of live shows are considered final.

No refunds or refunds are made for non-attendance or personal reasons of the client.

• Suspension or Modification of the Event: In the event that a performance must be canceled, suspended or rescheduled due to force majeure or decision of the theater, the protocol of full refund of the money or relocation on a new date will be activated, according to the user's preference.

3. Entry to the hall will not be allowed once the performance or concert has begun.
