Concierto VIII - Un Canto por la Paz

The Temuco Philharmonic Orchestra presents its eighth concert of the 2026 Season: A Song for Peace, an exciting and profoundly human musical experience that invites us to rediscover ourselves through music. Under the direction of the prominent Chilean composer Carlos Zamora Pérez, the first part of the program will be marked by the premiere of his Symphony No. 2, a work inspired by Latin American landscapes, rhythms and sounds, together with The Sermon on the Mountain. In the second part, the Orchestra will join the Temuco Municipal Theater Choir, conducted by Daniel Farías, and guest soloist Cecilia Barrientos Covacich to perform the symphonic-choral work A Song for Peace. Through episodes such as Aylan, We Were Happy Without Knowing It, Prayer for Ghea and Song for Unity, this creation addresses memory, human frailty, caring for the Earth and the hope of building a more united world. A night where the strength of the orchestra and the voices of the choir will turn the stage into a powerful call for peace, with a great Hallelujah as a closing.
