The guests are gone, the music is turned off and there are only two people left: Laura, a successful executive who seems to have everything under control, and Danny, a divorced man who carries the weight of his own shipwrecks. Between half-sipped drinks, nostalgic songs and the remnants of party favors, Laura throws Danny a proposal that is as direct as it is unexpected that will change the course of the night. Written by acclaimed British playwright David Eldridge and unanimously applauded at its premiere at the National Theatre in London, Comienzo hits the Chilean stage for the first time under the direction of Pablo Halpern. Starring Josefina Fiebelkorn and Julián Marras, the play is a bittersweet, hilarious and profoundly honest romantic comedy about the fear of intimacy, the tyranny of social expectations at the age of forty, and the courageous odyssey of starting over in the era of digital hyperconnection. A relentless and moving mirror about the desperate search for refuge in the arms of a stranger.
