CARLOS ZAMORA CON ORQUESTA MARGA MARGA: SINFONIA N°3 EN TEATRO MAURI SCD, VALPARAÍSO

From England, Chilean composer and director Carlos Zamora returns to the country to lead the Marga Marga Orchestra in a concert that brings together works from Chile, Moldova and England, together with his own compositions. The program includes Duality by Edgardo Cantón, a musical reflection on the opposites that coexist in the human being; Periplus by the Moldovan composer Lidia Ciubuc, a sound journey of great expressive richness; The Sermon on the Mount, a work by Zamora inspired by the Gospel of Matthew; and... in the still hours by British composer Philip Cashian. The day culminates with the world premiere of Symphony No. 3 for Strings, a new creation by Carlos Zamora that intertwines influences from Chile and England in a four-movement work, where musical traditions from the north of Chile, English melodies and Latin American rhythms converge.
