About the event

Boîte Bijoux is a theatrical play, which has cabaret, humor, picaresque, theater and live music to pay tribute to Tomás and Eliana Vidiella, protagonists of one of the greatest theatrical phenomena in the history of Chile: Cabaret Bijoux. At the beginning of the 70s, this successful production revolutionized the national scene by combining melodrama, revue theater and a dose of irreverence that defied the conventions of the time, summoning thousands of spectators and filling the theater for years. Written by Magdalena Max-Neef and Rodrigo Bastidas, the play invites us to learn about the intense relationship between the Vidiella brothers: affectionate, conflictive, dependent and deeply theatrical. The story takes place on two planes that are permanently intertwined: the dressing room that the artists share before going on stage and the universe of Cabaret Bijoux itself, where fiction, humour, glamour and decadence are mixed on stage. With live songs, choreographies, imitations, stand-up and great moments of comedy, Boîte Bijoux reveals the secrets, tensions and affections that are hidden behind the scenes, building a story that is as entertaining as it is emotional. Boîte Bijoux is a large-format stage experience that celebrates a golden age of national entertainment and the legacy of two unforgettable artists. Laughter, emotion, music, dance and nostalgia are combined in a proposal that invites the audience to immerse themselves in the world of cabaret from the moment they arrive at the theater with a spectacular cast, where Magdalena Max Neef, Daniel Alcaino, Claudio Castellón, Claudio Olate, Blue Mary and Javiera Wayne among others stand out. Duration: 2 hours 10 minutes Suggested age: +14 years
